Engagement

Working with the Institute.

The Institute engages with government, industry, and academia through a small number of structured pathways, each designed to match the speed and rigour appropriate to the partner.

Government

The Institute welcomes engagement with Canadian and allied government programs on auditable AI, information provenance, and related areas of defence and cyber innovation. Typical forms of engagement include:

  • Briefings and technical consultations with program offices and procurement staff.
  • Participation in challenge-based innovation programs and prize competitions.
  • Joint research agreements in collaboration with university partners.

Industry

The Institute partners with industry on research problems that are unlikely to be solved inside any single company — problems of standardization, auditability, and cross-boundary trust. Engagement forms include sponsored research, consortium participation, and focused advisory work.

Academia

The Institute works with academic researchers — graduate students, faculty, and research centres — whose work addresses the Institute's research agenda. We support collaborative grant applications where academic leadership is required, and provide industrial context for academic research programs.

Inquiries

All engagement inquiries may be directed to the Institute via Contact. Please include a brief description of the proposed engagement, any applicable program or funding context, and a point of contact.
